We're enjoying watching Brian Boyle play also. It's hard to tell if he should have been in Slap Shot or The Brady Bunch. Or both.
He's a good guy, I wouldn't have resigned him to the Leafs, but he's still a class act.

He just didn't do for the Leafs what he was brought in to do, he wasn't that good defensively, and he wasn't that good on face offs.
He's been a hit in Smashvegas so far.

Poile knows how to keep the drunks happy.
He fits the style more, Preds are more of a grind and cycle team, so Boyle can keep up, on the Leafs he just looked slower than molasses off the rush.

This is why Babcock is sabotagin'

The Leafs don't grind.

Not going anywhere as currently configured.

Might as well confront that now rather than later.

This is what small soft teams look like.

Has to change.

Methinks Babcock wanted much more from the trade deadline, but he didn't get it.

So now he's gone "fuck this"

Basically he's forcing Shanahan to make a choice.

Either you are going with the small soft model, at which point Babcock ain't down anymore.

Or you're gonna bring in some players who can grind, which will require shipping some small softies out.

Babcock was born in 63'

Dubas is 33

So this is literally Boomers v. Millennials up in here.

The Leafs are a Hipster Faggot team, and Babcock ain't down with it.

Nice to see the JOFA line delivering again.
Against a feeble Leaf team in Mike Babcock induced crisis.

The Loafs ain't much of a measuring stick right now, they got mental problems.
They were good on the California tour as well. Shame about the Ducks game. Rinne lost that one.

The Leafs are fine on paper, they're just melting under the pressure.

The coach is not in synch with the GM.

The players are not in synch with the coach.

It's all about shit going on behind the scenes, altho it has started to break out into the open now.

This is what the Toronto pressure cooker looks like, this team is just feeling it for the first time.

Last couple of seasons, no pressure, just happy to be in the playoffs.

Then they signed Tavares.

Now the pressure is on.

Young team, young stars, it's all new to them.

Learning Experience:

Last week while dancing, a guy sat down next to my wife, Gwynne, and said, “I’m really attracted to you.” Next thing, he asked me, “you her husband?”
I nodded. After all, we sit together and dance together, not a hard tell. It seemed weird but it was after 10 pm. He stayed around for 15 minutes telling us about himself, at one point saying to Gwynne, “I’m 50 and I’d do you.” (She’s 62.)
Eventually, he left. Whatever, ya know?

Then a couple nights ago, while Gwynne and I were on the dance floor, this guy moves my chair with my jacket on it, and puts his chair next to Gwynne. My whiskey & beer was still on the table in front of him. When we came back to our seats, I had to sit across a circular table from him and scoop my drinks over. Gwynne never gave him a chance to talk to her, she jumped up and took me out to the dance floor where we stayed the rest of the night. When we finally picked up our jackets, he was still there?!

My son, Heath, took us to Circus de Soleil last night and I told him these bizarre stories. He asked, “were you wearing your wedding rings?”
I explained, “Mom was a nurse, and I was a doctor; we couldn’t wear jewelry at work, and when we travel, we leave the jewelry at home. We’re out of the habit.”
“Well, get in the habit,” Heath informed us. “You guys were advertising for a threesome.”
“Oh.”

We’re going out tonight, Wedding rings up.
Okay, so wedding rings make no difference; the very next incidence was a doozy:
Gwynne & I are sitting together, dancing together, wearing our wedding rings. It's the night before St. Patrick's day and they're selling green Jello shots. This young guy, I mean he's not much over 40, thin and good looking, comes up to Gwynne and gives her a shot, and says, "You're pretty." He talks some more to her but I can't remember what. Eventually he goes away. I go to the bathroom; when I get back, this guy's asking Gwynne to dance. She sees me, grabs my arm and we go dancing. After a couple dances, this guy comes out and dances with us in a triangle. He gives Gwynne hip butts. A girl about his age from the audience comes out and pulls him to dance with her. They dance a few times, each time when he comes out, he smiles & winks, lightly touches Gwynne. The young girl pulls him to the other side of the dance floor. This went on for the rest of the night.

The dance scene has changed in the past couple decades; this is threesome & swapping pick-ups I'd guess? Maybe cuckolding?

That's crossing the line, yo.

That guy is inviting a restraint hold and pressure points.

Dude, 4 times in as many weeks; I'd be fighting all the time.

There's more: Monday night we were at an acoustic set featuring a super-attractive Black guy who's already been on American Idol and is trying out for The Voice right now. He comes and sits with Gwynne & me between sets. The next day she gets a Facebook Friend request from him. All he knew was our first names and that I "Liked" on Facebook a band I'd seen him Guest in before. That means he had to search that shit out. I looked into it, and that band had over 3K Likes.
