As an aside, the Honda Accord is a damn fine car. May not be the flashiest thing available, but they hold up well and keep going. I had a 2003 one with manual transmission and two doors. I loved it.

Consumer Reports gives the Accord good ratings. DB probably drives a Kia.

One of my exes drove a Kia. It never seemed to have many problems. I knew a couple folks with them in college, and what I gathered is that they were pretty reliable cars. I'm not sure where the hate comes tbh. Do you feel they are poorly engineered? I've never owned one.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 1:14 pmConsumer Reports gives the Accord good ratings. I have heard the exact opposite. There is a class action lawsuit right now from consumers whose cars' engines are basically dead after a year or so and no relief from the company. Then there was at least one other lawsuit I can think of that involved Kia engines literally catching fire during operation.heydaralon wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 1:23 pmOne of my exes drove a Kia. I had a Honda Accord in college . .. that I bought with like 123k miles already on it and sold two years later without any problems.
And you jackasses should know I drive a Ford Pickup, not any sort of metro-ass import car.
Jeez.

I bought a 2017 Explorer in December 2018 with 10k miles on it. We put 3k more miles on it by 2/14 and a wrench light came on
It's been in the shop since then, they can't figure it out and an engineer from Michigan even flew out to troubleshoot. The verdict is apparently a new engine so we're going to be without it another couple weeks.
I've had Fords before, I like Fords, and I was going to buy either an F150 or a new Ranger in a couple years when I'm done with my Lesbian car. I don't know now.
(although that 2.3 Ecoboost felt like a good motor)

My second choice would have been the Ram, but the dealer had the Z71 fully loaded at the right price.
Kia Stinger is amazin tho.
