So how do you go to a pool of $1.65trillion, and redistribute $2.52 trillion out of it?
You can't redistribute in excess of what exists.
You take $1k from everybody and give it back to them. Zero sum. You take $1k from everybody and give it back to some of them, none to some of them, more to some of them. Zero sum. Or you could read the excerpt or transcript.
... but there wasn't $1000 to take from everyone, as we can see by how much it costs to give everyone $1000.
The numbers, man.
They're right there.

You're looking at this ass backawards. Most of this money is already flowing around the system as taxes and entitlements. This is mostly a different way to redistribute it.
We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND

There's no way this would ever get passed at the expense of the other entitlements. No politician would vote for it unless the other stuff stayed. If you believe otherwise I have a timeshare to sell you plus a Scientology membership. Gov't doesn't go from stage 4 cancer to stage 1, its modus operandi is always, grow more, spend more. We got elected tapeworms, and elector tapeworms, 2 kinds of parasites that need more spending to sustain them.

Yes, probably true. Same as single payer: the merits of the idea aside, no way to get there from here.

Oh, I see . . . there's just a magic floating money pool "flowing around the system" that's greater than our yearly GDP. We'll just pull trillions out of that.
