We have entire towns that survive off of the manufacturing, research, and military stations funded by the pentagon. I'm not saying they don't waste an obscene amount of money, they do. Much of the government does. But they also return jobs, products, and entire sustainable communities from our investment in them.

Investing $1000 into fatty America is only going to produce a return to the sewage system and sceptic tanks. The ABV of urine samples will spike, and that's about it. May as well set that money on fire.
