Jbird... do you even read my posts? I'm on record in this thread at least 20 times explaining that they won't do anything that works because NOBODY IN POWER wants to fix this problem.

That's why the wall is stupid, stupid, stupid. Capps wants me to pay $20 million to build absolutely nothing. I, on the other hand, do not pay lip services to this issue. I want it FIXED.

What good is great plan that can't be passed? A decent plan that can be passed is better any day of the week. Why do need a wall the same size as theirs? The scale of our problem is smaller, therefore our wall doesn't need to be as long. I don't know where I'd put it, but if you had to build a border wall where would you put it? You probably have a better idea than me in what spots a wall would theoretically work better than fence or where a wall would work better in tandem with a fence than just having fencing alone. The question then becomes is it worth the expense to put up the wall in that area for the benefit it provides? If yes, put up a wall, if no, don't put up a wall.

Their wall is only going to cover half the border with Mexico, and according to you, such partial walls are effective, therefore, why shouldn't we build a partial wall too? If it's only a partial wall, who cares where you put it? Put it anywhere, just pick a frontage, how about Manitoba to Alberta?

I'm super pissed because I want the problem fixed. Everyone else just can't wait to spend a ton of money that we don't have. That truly pisses me off. They are outright admitting that nobody wants to fix this issue and they want the stupid wall anyway, because reasons.

Ever heard of funneling? Where you put the wall matters a great deal. You obviously want to funnel illegals to cross certain portions of the border where they will be more easily apprehended due to other border security measures, and place the wall accordingly.
