F-22 and F-15X are meant to go together.

The F-15X carries 22 missiles, man. Holy shit that thing is a beast.

F-22 does the main fighting but he has the F-15X behind him to launch on command, hand off missiles, whatever.

That's fucking awesome for the Air Force. If the Navy and Marines want to keep it up with their faggot F-35, more power to them. Just don't get in the way of air superiority with this rent-seeking bullshit that is the F-35. It's not like the Navy matters. LOL
I love it when you guys dump all over me, then agree later, like it’s your idea.

StA, what's your take on the F-22 ?
This article states that it really wasn't necessary, it's over a decade old and has never fired a shot in anger.

The F-22 Raptor Is So Dangerous It Has No Real Enemy To Fight
Would anyone ever really have missed the F-22 if it had not existed? In an important sense, the answer is “no,” at least thus far. The F-22 has enjoyed the unusual distinction of holding an almost universally acknowledged dominance in the core air superiority mission for over a decade, and yet has not participated in a consequential way in any military conflict. It is the world’s best boxer, and yet can find no one to fight.

Had a good read from Matt Taibbi in Rolling Stone about what a disaster the Pentagon bookkeeping is. They truly have no idea what they spend, or where their assets are. They lie to congress about what they spent last year to get the same or more next year, but it's all nonsense. The one goal is never to get less. Every attempt to audit them for the last 30 years has failed, but no one is willing to just cut them off till they get their shit together, because..........campaign donations. They literally spend billions on trying to audit every year and get nowhere. Taibbi didn't discover this, but he summed it up masterfully. Don't like him? just google Pentagon+audit.

We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND

The audit is legally required and the public conception of what the audit will show, even if misplaced, makes the audit politically required. At some point, however, the voices of doubt will get louder. Some, dissatisfied that the audit has not uncovered massive abuses, will likely accuse DOD of hiding the savings that they are sure should be there. But these voices will lose credibility over time. Others will gradually become disillusioned. They will question the whole enterprise and propose dialing back the costly effort once agencies achieve, or get close to, a clean opinion.

Eagle with thunderbolts in talons in grasped.

Railing against the Pentagon is a laughable waste of breath.

Take a lap, Matt Taibbi, nobody puts Baby in a corner.
