Sounds about right. Pretty much impossible to organize a resistance army in that scenario.

Not that many of the “right” are willing to shoot it out with the police over their guns either. That’s just fantasy.

In the book they manage to organize a large Company sized element of shooters. Like 200 trained shooters, former military, police, etc. that are well equipped. Plus a lot of civilians doing support ops. This is what we see insurgents being able to put together in Afghanistan in 'big' fights.

There was just a guy in Maryland killed in a shootout over gun confiscation...…………… didn't make the National Newspeak though. It occurs, but agreed, not a lot of from my cold dead hands happening.

Damn few in this country would be ready for it, regardless of political leanings. Not the average gender marcher, not the average tacticool prepper and not the average redneck.

Americans are largely pussies that have had been raised in a very sheltered and pampered life. Hell, most people haven't even seen dead bodies from violence, other than maybe a car crash. Let alone even really thing about the process of killing another American.

Man, I have really got to work in some time for the Spanish Civil War around the ACW and the American Revolution. It's just so compelling the parallels of Revolutionary era colonies and modern America.

Lol. Put a man all-in with his life or family on the line and then you see what he's made of. Most of this forum has a very low opinion of the average American, but then purports to be patriotic. Pick one, you can't have both.
