I have no quarrel with the MIC, the MIC is me, Arsenal of Democracy for the win.

I'm sure there are plenty of folks who belonged to a fighter squadron that know what they are talking about, you just aren't one of them. Appeal to authority some more, that will be a compelling argument, I'm sure.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 3:57 pmDidn't you watch Iron Eagle?! I don't care that you are actually the only person here to ever belong to a fighter squadron. How are you supposed to know anything about fighters if you don't watch MIC movies and read Lockmart marketing material??

Every fighter pilot I have spoken to, raves about the Panther.
Not just the ones who work for Lockheed Martin, although Billie Flynn is arguably the greatest CF-18 pilot of them all.
But even the guy who I hang out with at the dog beach here, he's an ex-RCAF CF-18 pilot and he rails against Trudeau for cancelling it.

It isn't an appeal to authority when I make an argument, and your response is "nuh uh, you don't know what you are talking about!! I saw a movie!"StCapps wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2019 4:28 pmI'm sure there are plenty of folks who belonged to a fighter squadron that know what they are talking about, you just aren't one of them. At that point, I have every right to point out that between the three of us, only one of us has ever served in a fighter squadron, and it's not you or Smitty. I actually do know what I am talking about, and I feel like I am arguing with you over movie trivia rather than real life.

The guy doesn't understand the concept that stealth is first day/week of war, then the jet switches to carrying external payload, invokes a "stealth vs non stealth" paradigm which marks him as not knowing his shit.

It's stealth is not even as good as an F-117, and even the fucking Serbs managed to target and shoot one of those down.
Overpriced junk.
