Didn't you watch Iron Eagle?! I don't care that you are actually the only person here to ever belong to a fighter squadron. How are you supposed to know anything about fighters if you don't watch MIC movies and read Lockmart marketing material??

I'm sure there are plenty of folks who belonged to a fighter squadron that know what they are talking about, you just aren't one of them. Appeal to authority some more, that will be a compelling argument, I'm sure.

Every fighter pilot I have spoken to, raves about the Panther.

Not just the ones who work for Lockheed Martin, although Billie Flynn is arguably the greatest CF-18 pilot of them all.

But even the guy who I hang out with at the dog beach here, he's an ex-RCAF CF-18 pilot and he rails against Trudeau for cancelling it.

It isn't an appeal to authority when I make an argument, and your response is "nuh uh, you don't know what you are talking about!! I saw a movie!"

At that point, I have every right to point out that between the three of us, only one of us has ever served in a fighter squadron, and it's not you or Smitty. I actually do know what I am talking about, and I feel like I am arguing with you over movie trivia rather than real life.

It's stealth is not even as good as an F-117, and even the fucking Serbs managed to target and shoot one of those down.
