A lot of it is nostalgia (nothing wrong with that) but its why people love movies from their childhood and teen years. Lets face it though there is a ton of shit movies from the 70s and 80s and nowadays there is more in aggregate b/c netflix,amazon, youtube and cheap everyman possibilities out there allow for piles of shit.
