Not being a Papist, I was always an Apollo Creed man meself.
Apollo Creed was Captain America, and Quinton Jackson is too.
Well personality wise, Rampage is my favorite, but Lawler was just in too many amazing fights for him not to be my favorite fighter.
Indeed, Rocky beats Creed in the end.
Ridiculous fuckin' movie, a Wop Midget beats Captain America, my aunt fannie.
That why Rocky I is so much better than Rocky II, far more realistic ending, and a much better story in general. Rocky didn't care that he lost, he just wanted to go the distance, to prove he wasn't a bum, he didn't care about decision, he just wanted to see Adrian, that's all he really cared about.

Robbie Lawler was the real life version of Rocky Balboa, can't even script better fights than some of the wars he had.
He's fighting Ben Askren tonight, should be fun, hope he has enough left in the tank to beat Askren, both guys are stylistic poison for one another.
I'm afraid it might be a boring fight. In fact, Askren might end up being too boring in general for the average fight fan. His personality will save him
No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session

Yeah, I'm worried Lawler is too washed up to get the job done, Lawler in his prime would have merc'd Askren. If Askren wins, likelihood of the fight being boring is fairly high.

There's only one Stallone movie I love, there's only one Stallone character who moves me.

Filmed on location in British Columbia Canada, I might add.
Ironic because that's where a shit ton of Americans went to avoid Vietnam. I'll bet some of those draftdodgers dropped their roach in their lap and coughed in terror when they saw all those set actors dressed in American law enforcement costumes. They probably thought that they were getting arrested for dereliction of duty.
Wait, I think First Blood was filmed after Carter pardoned them nvrmind.

I have no quarrel with those who seek the protection of the British Crown, I defend and uphold the First Team in Vietnam, but I do not condemn those who invoked the American Religion, to decline to fight an illegal war for French colonial rule of Indochina.
