Carriers are for Navy, not USAF. Navy is not the peer of the USAF in air superiority, not even close.

Also there is no guarantee a carrier group can survive in a war. Last time we did this in the 1940s, getting equipment to England was a bitch because the Germans kept sinking transports. It's not a good way to get shit to Europe.

And refuellers are our weakest link in air superiority. Air war from Russia's perspective, for example, is shooting down refuellers so that F-35s are fucking useless.
