Re: What's going on in India?
We need new F-22 models with upgraded avionics with F-15X flying support.
Save the lawn darts for the Navy. They're already a bunch of homos so whatever.
I can't believe we are paying over a 100 million dollars for a fucking lawn dart. It was supposed to just be a replacement for the F-16, which we never fucking needed either. Now it's more expensive than our actual main air superiority aircraft ever were, even adjusted for inflation.
Fucking worst boondoggle in American defense contracting history.

The F-22 jigs were dismantled, there is no F-22 production line, Obama killed it.

F-16's cost a hundred million now, that's how much Qatar paid for F-16E.
People who think they can get F-16 for 1970's prices, are obviously morons.

Re: What's going on in India?
F-35 actually uses the same TTP's as F-15C when air to air, F-15 is not supposed to get into a turning fight.
F-15C is supposed to use speed to go through the fur ball, hit and run, then disengage.
F-35 does the same, except instead of speed it uses stealth to pop in and out of the fur ball.
Same as all fighters are supposed to, ambush is optimal, a dogfight is to be avoided if possible.

The pinnacle of aerodynamics, the ultimate fighter airframe, with stealth and sensor fusion.
None the less, overkill for most missions, 90% of the time F-35 is enough for the job, 10% of the time you need Raptor.
Raptor sweeps and escorts, gets rid of the top 10% threats, once those are gone, F-35 mops up.

According to OSINT from Red Flag, the Raptors mostly use stealth and sensor fusion just like the F-35, coming and going without being seen, the Raptors don't actually get into dogfights neither if they can avoid them.
The whole USAF concept of operations is switching to stealth and sensors, information warfare dominance ftw

See, that's the part that I don't understand why you need a guy in the cockpit instead of an office chair. You've already said the role of the plane is to avoid a dogfight, so you don't need a pilot there either.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 8:07 pmThe F-35 EODAS is hemispheric staring IRST out to the horizon, sees everything at once, 360 degrees in both axis, points out targets for you. Like that guy over there shooting an AK47, the F-35 sees him and tells you, then asks you if you want to kill him.
Then you can zoom in and see; nope, that's a friendly with an AK, don't kill him.
