Actually, Denmark is one of the good NATO allies, they actually buy a lot of kit per capita, Denmark is armed to the teeth. And the women are stunning, hottest army chicks in Europe.

Those are actually Canadian C7/8 made in Kitchener Ontario.
The meme of the NATO Free Rider is not really true, from the founding members of the alliance, there are really only two free riders. Canada and Germany.
It's not about %, it's about what you spend it on, and Canada and Germany spend it all on overhead while allowing the sharp end to crumble, because Canada and Germany only care about vote buying pork.
Most other NATO countries are actually pretty good, and some are Lions, like Poland, or Norway.

Surpassed by other agreements now, RIMPAC is a larger more flexible structure led by PACOM, in which the SEATO countries all serve.
Australia is America's best ally in RIMPAC, the Germans of the South Pacific.

Austrailians actually went to Vietnam. Supposedly the VC were most scared of them because they knew all about the bush, and how to fight there.

America's conscripts were just as good when the First Team went to the Ia Drang in 65', but American morale collapsed at Hill 937 at Dong Ap Bia, Hamburger Hill was the last straw for the Grunts.heydaralon wrote: ↑Fri Feb 22, 2019 3:15 pmAustrailians actually went to Vietnam. I consider the 1st Cavalry Division Airmobile in 1965, to be the finest formation in the history of the United States Army, First Team was the zenith of the United States Army, the North Vietnamese were just better, sometimes you run into an enemy, who just has a better plan.
Vo Nguyen Giap, is the Napoleon Bonaparte, of Indochina.

What is the Suwalki gap? Know what the Fulda gap is, just don't remember hearing about that.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 21, 2019 4:25 pmThe problem with explaining to the American public why NATO is obsolete, is that most Americans didn't really understand what the opposing war plans were in the first place, so they don't get how it has all changed, so when the Pentagon says Suwalki Gap, the public doesn't get how that is different from the Fulda Gap, because even tho they heard the term all the time, the public never really understood how that Fulda Gap thing worked.
