Media reports about the Empire incident being a hoax are unconfirmed by case detectives. Supt Eddie Johnson has contacted @ABC7Chicago to state on the record that we have no evidence to support their reporting and their supposed CPD sources are uninformed and inaccurate.

I've already posted this but you prefer to rely on your RW news sites rather than the police department actually investigating the case.

Case Update: Due to new evidence as a result of today's interrogations, the individuals questioned by police in the Empire case have now been released without charging and detectives have additional investigative work to complete.

It just says they released them. That does not indicate anything.

Then there is this:

But that's not what the reporter claimed. He claimed they detained the men because that is who he called (and tried to black out in his phone records), and the police have evidence that those two were the ones who purchased the rope at Ace Hardware store.

No. Actually it does not. They can release somebody when they still have evidence because they want more evidence. They could also have turned the pair as witnesses against Smollette.

Proving they were the ones who bought the rope doesn't prove the attack was a hoax. It just cast serious doubt on Smollette's claims.

Apropos:

Standing outside Area Central Police Headquarters Friday night, the Osundairo brothers’ lawyer dropped hints that the road ahead may be rough for Smollett.

“My guys are walking home. They are not charged,” Gloria Schmidt said before indicating that the Osundairos had information about the Smollett case that was shared with police after some “coordination.”

And, she pointed out, “I’m not part of Jussie’s defense.”

The lawyer representing the Nigerians is hinting they cut a deal. What she said there was a direct attack on Smollette's legal team (Smollette has picked up a criminal defense lawyer, same guy who represents Michael Cohen).

I've never suggested that Nazis were responsible.
I have not speculated anything other than your motivation for speculating wildly about hoaxes and domestic violence by gays.
I'm sticking to posting what the CPD has said about the case rather than unsubstantiated ''claims'' made by media outlets.
