oK.. so states are 'laboratories of Democracy' until it involves immigration? Or just 'until it's inconvenient'?

Do states confer citizenship? No? I guess you don't have a point, then.
In fact they do. I pay them taxes every year. My driver's license is registered to a state of residence, under penalty of law. My birth certificate was issued by a state. It just so happens that the Fed government has their own 'citizenship' as denoted by... Social Security Numbers? That's an odd measure for 'citizenship'.. A government benefit program....

I am sort of a state's rights guy. If your state wants to flaunt federal drug policy, then I don't have a problem with it. But illegal immigration actually is legitimately a federal issue. Liberal cities giving safe haven to illegal immigrants affects us all, not least among the effects being likely voter fraud since those same liberals fight tooth and nail against requiring identification to vote.
And to be clear I wasn't calling your a fuckhead I was calling myself a fuckhead

How's Hair-God gonna handle getting bitch-slapped by a bunch of dress-wearers? How many divisions do they have?

Why Trump’s executive order on sanctuary cities is unconstitutional
Thanks for posting this. I've been trying to understand sanctuary cities and why everyone is so upset. I very much see this as a state's rights issue.

Refusing to use local resources to do the fed's job for them seems more like a reasonable way to not overspend budgets.

I went into the learning thinking that cities were preventing feds into the city to do their jobs. Turns out, they are just refusing to do someone else's job.
Even aside from Trump’s dubious effort to tie it to federal grants, Section 1373 is itself unconstitutional. The Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that the federal government may not “commandeer” state and local officials by compelling them to enforce federal law. Such policies violate the Tenth Amendment.

When your child gets murdered by an illegal, and the police let them go, because it isn't their job to deal with illegals, you'll change your tune.

Is that what's happening? Cities are refusing to arrest illegals even when they commit heinous crimes? Damn...... so Chicago has 2 murders per day right now. What percentage of those are by illegals who are still walking the streets even though the cops know who did it?

Holy shit. That's why you think deportation would change the crime rate in Chicago? Really?

He's talking to me about my policy of deporting all criminals out of Chicago on their first arrest.. He hears deportations, and the dog whistle part of his brain jumps to mexicans.
