Definitely hilarious. I might buy a couple gallons of water, just in case I lose power (well water), and is being in extra firewood for the wood stove... But I'm pretty much always set for food - soups, rice, etc. Might not be the best nutritionally but I wouldn't starve even if I was totally cutoff from the outside world for 2 weeks

Honeywell Aerospace to move jobs from Renton to Kansas City area

RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Honeywell Aerospace is expected to move an undisclosed number of jobs from Renton to the Kansas City suburb of Olathe by the middle of next year.

The company also will close its Wichita, Kansas, facility and move those jobs to Olathe by the end of this year.

Honeywell spokesman Scott Sayres confirmed Friday that the company will move jobs from Wichita and Renton, Washington, to Olathe. He says the company's plant in the Kansas City suburb of Olathe is centrally located and has the capacity to handle more work.

The jobs will move from Wichita by the end of the year and from Renton in the next 1 1/2 years.

The Wichita Eagle reports Sayres wouldn't say how many jobs are involved, but Olathe Chamber of Commerce CEO Tim McKee said he understood it would be hundreds of jobs. . . .
