A statement is an assertion or observation meant to be taken as facts. They have truth value, in other words, they may be true or false.

An argument at it's simplest is a set of statements or assertions, one of which is the conclusion, the rest being premises.

You made several assertions AKA "statements or observations meant to be taken as fact" And then you said:

That's a conclusion: It's written in a cowardly manner, granted, but it's a conclusion nonetheless. The statement is implying that the reason I'm not taken seriously is because of the earlier assertions.

If you want to believe using the word “implied” some how magically transforms a direct observation (which cannot be implied, but whatever) into an argument, then go for it.
