You're still talking ideology, not the actual economics of migration. People come here for opportunity, always have.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 10:58 amAgain, from where? The only region with a fair replacement rate is sub-Saharan Africa.
Latin America has shit replacement too. Mexico is actually worse than the US.
Also, just assuming this pipe dream were possible, the only thing that will get you is murdered for your property, no differently than happens now in South Africa. These people are not talking out of their asses about wanting to exterminate us.

We are only accustomed to dealing with like twenty online personas at a time so when we only have about ten people some people have to be strawmanned in order to advance our same relative go nowhere nonsense positions. -TheReal_ND

No. I am pointing out the easily verifiable fact that any reasonable target for mass immigration has below replacement fertility rates just like us.brewster wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 11:05 amYou're still talking ideology, not the actual economics of migration. Who do you think is going to come here to fill up hundreds of millions of residences in twenty years. It is a simple question.

Your obsession with fertility has you sounded like General Jack D Ripper on essential bodily fluids. Population pressure has rarely been a reason for emigration, people move for economic opportunity. Hundreds of millions of empty residences in only 20 years? Are you expecting the plague? There's only a 120 million households in the country currently! Ideology masquerading as economics is destroying this country already. Keep it in check.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 11:09 amNo. I am pointing out the easily verifiable fact that any reasonable target for mass immigration has below replacement fertility rates just like us.

I deny it's relevant for the current or near future appeal of immigration into this country.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 12:09 pmDo you deny most of the world is below replacement fertility??

It is entirely relevant. The immigrants have to exist in order to come here..brewster wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 12:50 pmI deny it's relevant for the current or near future appeal of immigration into this country.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 12:09 pmDo you deny most of the world is below replacement fertility??

A slowly shrinking population does not mean the small fraction that would currently emigrate would no longer desire to do so. In fact, if their economy tanks, there's even more desire. You see things so binary, like a shrinking population suddenly means "no population".Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 12:57 pmIt is entirely relevant. This population argument should be a separate thread if it isn't already, but shrinking populations are a good thing in many ways for our planet and our continuing to live on it. This no doubt presents economic challenges, but many are already being solved. This country is more concerned right now with having excess labor than than a shortage.

It is not slow, Brewster. I think you just have not exposed yourself to what demographers have been saying.
Longterm.. residential property is very, very likely to become a losing investment.
Switch over to commercial or agricultural real estate for long term. There are REITS that focus on these.

In particular, it is happening very fast right now. The overall population numbers are growing only because the life expectancy is growing faster than the fertility rate is dropping. But the upper end of that is projected for the 2040s-50s. That is when the pyramid begins to invert.
