What do you believe *in your opinion* to be the motivation for the author in this post to ask her publisher to withhold her book, Blood Heir?

A. Altruism, i.e., her stated reason

B. Egoism

C. Irrationality/mental illness, e.g., psychosis

D. It was an involuntary/coerced action

E. Something else

Column A with a heavy helping of Column C. If this is going to be a permanent thing then she has to be convinced she is doing something she believes in. This thing sounds like a meal ticket. The movie rights alone sound like a Joy Luck Club or Crazy Rich Asians. Somewhere is an agent rubbing their hands together thinking about the money or one biting thier nails thinking when do I drop this bitch, possibly both.

Seriously. If you want to understand Yankee culture you have to understand how they came to exist. Yankees are deathly afraid of receiving a scarlet letter and shunning.

I'd argue all four nations were fucked to some degree, with Quakers/Midlanders the least fucked, and Deep South at least forced to address their fuckedness after getting their asses handed to them at Gettysburg.

Yankees have never once even bothered to acknowledge how fucked up their culture is, much less address it.
