Anyone see and like "Old Man and the Gun" or "Bad Times at the El Royal"?

Old Man and the Gun was a well done movie, but ultimately pretty nihilistic and depressing. Some bizarre message about freedom from a guy who spent much of his life behind bars. Most criminals are morons, even a good chunk of the white collar ones. This guy as depicted was bright enough to have made it on the outside, but was hooked on the "thrill" of bank robbing.

the date is the same day as the super bowl so hopefully it's just a fun TV commercial and not a full blown movie sequel

Self destructive behavior dominates TV these days, I find it hard to watch even when as well done as Breaking Bad. If you don't like that stuff or superheroes, there ain't much. A few fantasy and SF, a few spy shows. And then there's Mrs Maisel, ahh, bliss! Such tightly written TV is rarely seen.

Yellowstone looks worth a try, Americans I watched like 4 or 5 episodes it's 1st season and wasn't hooked, but might give it another shot. The others, meh. MBF seemed like it was soapy from the press.

My Brilliant Friend is one of the best TV series I've seen in many years.

I'm two episodes in and its good. I like hoe sincerity and friendship is " soapy "
