Iraq: Journalism was balls in with the fake news about a WMD program they all knew was a lie.

Vietnam: Journalism was all in at first, spreading fake news about the Gulf of Tonkin incident.

They used to cover up the crimes of communism during ww2. Just go watch the intermissions of WW2 era films or listen to radio broadcasts. It was propaganda.

WW1: They were pushing mad "over there" propaganda. Never questioned a damned thing.

Spanish-American War: They promoted a fake news story about why the USS Main exploded to start a war.

At what point do people accept the truth about who these people are?

We don't need journalism? Yeah, Hastur, I'd prefer it if we did not get all our info about what our governments do, from the government itself, nor all our info about what corporations or banks or organizations do, from the those entities themselves.

Today’s journalists don’t do journalism anymore. No one is willing to pay for it. It’s just propaganda from the MSM now. We will have to depend on citizens like Tim Pool if we want something resembling reporting. You could argue he’s a journalist and that’s true, just not what we’re used to.

My position is that we are right now witnessing the birth of real journalism. Whatever journalism was supposed to be in the past, it clearly was nothing more than propaganda.

But the Internet and social media made the means of producing mass media so cheap that anybody can do it. The MSM realizes they cannot compete with a kid and his camera. That scares the ever loving shit out of them as far as I can tell.

YouTube has lots of people doing real journalism. If you want left journalism, check out Jimmy Dore. That dude rails on the MSM all the time and exposes them for the warmongering psychopaths they always have been.

You don't have to agree with these people to recognize they are the real thing.

To argue that anybody before this was the real thing is just silly. It's always been propaganda. As long as the cost of purchasing and maintaining the means or production (like a printing press) were huge, you were never going to have real journalism.

You do not have to agree with his political positions to realize he is at least trying to relate the truth in addition to his prescriptions about how to run our country.

Mainstream journalists have never attempted to tell the truth about anything. They have always been about manipulating minds by selectively reporting facts or just outright lying to people, knowing nobody can realistically correct them.

This fake news story is a clear example of regular people calling journalists to account on social media. The MSM would still be doing this right now with impunity if there was no social media to correct them. You'd be able to tell your immediate friends and acquaintances it was lies, but that's not going to make a dent. Put the facts up on YouTube and you have MSM backtracking and eating crow.
