How is it redistribution? Explain the math to me. What makes the progressive tax system progressive?

High Progressive taxes force investment; no one actually pays those high rates. “Investment” is defined as benefitting the Middle Class.

Flat Rate taxes is the only equal justice under the law Tax System.
One rate for business, one rate for individuals, based on the needs of the budget...………………… ZERO Deductions for all.

They have been doing the same damn thing to college tuition and then they have the nerve to complain about it.Alternative is to break up the medical monopolies...you really don't see the problems of a large central government do you? You honestly believe it's a force of good...completely ignoring history. You can't grasp the concept that providing insurance to everyone allows the medical cabal to charge more? "We'll the govenrment can set the prices for drugs and procedures"...Ok, then you'll be forcing doctors and researchers to work longer hours for less pay...eventually they'll quit...

Re: Socialism
Taxes aren’t about fairness or equality, they’re to redistribute wealth to the Middle Class.
I’ve mentioned compounding gains and how they concentrate wealth numerous times but no one gets the message.

I think they are redistributing more to lower classes right now.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 11:39 amTaxes aren’t about fairness or equality, they’re to redistribute wealth to the Middle Class.

But it doesn't take that much "investment" to avoid the upper tax brackets. And for many you are forcing into tax sheltered retirement accounts that pay a limited capital gains.Martin Hash wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 11:35 amHigh Progressive taxes force investment; no one actually pays those high rates. “Investment” is defined as benefitting the Middle Class.
I think you know where I was going with this. People, I bet punky is included in this, think the progressive tax system means the percentage on the highest income bracket is your total tax, it isn't. People actually believe a
taxable adjusted millionaire pays about 300k in taxes. Nope, not even close.
