The Donald at Reddit just started a campaign to send 100,000 engraved bricks to Nancy Pelosis office.

You can jump in for 20 dollars
Sign me up again CM. I like the idea of spending your money on pointless projects in my name.
Hell, put me down for $100 bucks I'm feeling generous with your cash...

Edit, INB4 DB makes snarky comment about Socialists spending other peoples money.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

What a fucking nightmare.

STA, what are the 4 different Americas...are you referring to a subset of the 11 "Nations" within America?

The guy who wrote the 11 nations book expanded on Albion's Seed by including the first nations, Spanish colonizers, and then split off the Left Coast from Yankeedom, as well as created a new Far West nation between Appalachia and the Left Coast.

Whether you like going into that detail or not, there really were only four nations that together formed the United States. Each of them derived from the cultural and political fall out of the English civil wars. To understand why we are this way today, you need to understand those original four nations.

To understand progressivism in particular one must understand the Yankee Puritan roots of that secular religion.

Likewise, to understand why the predominantly Southern GOP has no issue with corporate exploitation of people, you need to understand the slave lord origins of Southern culture.

Just read the first section on the origins of the Yankee nation, and bullshit like MeToo, social media witch hunts, public shaming, etc. will make a lot of sense.

I would argue that the only middle ground is shared between Appalachian and Midlander cultures. Midlanders (Quakers) gave us the tolerance and desire to actually care about our fellow men as they are instead of trying to refashion in them into our own image (which is utterly opposed to by Yankees, or progressives in the broader sense). Appalachians gave us a live and let live attitude(which is opposed to by Deep Southerners). To be sure, both of those had their own bad qualities, but those two cultural traits are the only thing that actually hold this shit together.

Because Deep South and Yankeedom are about to go at it again in some fashion. Of that I am certain.

StA, I don't remember if I've ever posted about Polk's Folly: An American Family History before?

Very good stuff.

Thanks , that above description tells me what I wanted to know. Where were if any the similarities or at least possibilities for common cause.

Ok, I'm going to have to get that book.

Already makes sense to me. The Puritans have been attacking the midlanders and Appalachia type peoples for 50 years and they are sick and tired of it.

Enjoy the federal holiday along with your yankee cousins on furlough, everyone. Winter weather is afoot, for real; so don't forget your meds today.

Is Democrat opposition to the wall influenced by their relationships with the Mexican Drug Cartels ?

This former Democrat is saying that the Dems are bought and paid for by the Cartels. This is logical and wouldn't be the first time politicians are bought by mafia type gangs.
