Re: Brexit
Circumstances change. We now know what Brexit actually means so all those people who voted leave to stick it to the man have worked out they were only fucking themselves up the arse.
Tories still in power and job prospects in the North even worse with Brexit.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Re: Brexit
What if Britain was smart enough to handle greater autonomy and also prosper?
You know, like they did for a thousand years or so until your generation?
Wouldn't that have been cool?
Worth the risk?
Worth respecting the vote which represented the un-henpecked will of Britons who hadn't endured two years of Globalist pressure and fear mongering before facing a re-vote?
Or is none of that possible in your mind?

Sticking with the timeless leftist "Now all the idiots are enlightened, like us" narrative.
Strikes me as an extremely limited and fear-based way to go through life, but have at it.

What if we were smart enough to realise we are much more prosperous as part of a free trade zone with our major trading partner than we would be in a world of tariffs and trade restrictions?DBTrek wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 11:33 pmWhat if Britain was smart enough to handle greater autonomy and also prosper?

More of a "now we are properly informed" basis but feel free to spin the narrative to suit your antiglobalist agenda.DBTrek wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 11:34 pmOh I see.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 11:31 pmCircumstances change. If you were, Brexit never would have been a thing.
Now it's been two years of the losers trying to reverse the vote and crown themselves winners.
And now you're playing the role of assuring yourself and everyone else that the losers really deserved to be the winners in the first place, because you are just so damn right, and informed, and enlightened, and erudite, and superior to the collective will of Britain. And when people don't think you're right, well, you'll show them by Jove.
A little too totalitarian for my tastes.

Re: Brexit
Brexit is a thing because the race baiting UKIP party were taking too much of the vote from the Tories so David Cameron gambled the country's future on a vote to leave in an attempt to shut the referendum wanters up for another generation.DBTrek wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 11:46 pmBut you weren't.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 11:41 pmWhat if we were smart enough to realise we are much more prosperous as part of a free trade zone with our major trading partner than we would be in a world of tariffs and trade restrictions?

The disadvantages of leaving are now as clear as the lies on a bus.

Ah, well that clearly justifies delaying the will of the people until it can be reversed, eh?Montegriffo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 11:56 pmBrexit is a thing because the race baiting UKIP party were taking too much of the vote from the Tories so David Cameron gambled the country's future on a vote to leave in an attempt to shut the referendum wanters up for another generation.

You feel that way?
