If Mexico is going to pay for the wall, why does Trump need money from Congress?

Democrats have never been so fiscally conservative in their lives.
Republicans want to sign a blank cheque and give it to Trump for a massive government make-work scheme just so he has a chance of re-election.

No wonder American politics are so fucked up. Neither side can stick to a principle for more than 5 minutes.
So now $5billion, 0.1% of the national budget, is a "blank check"?

And somehow things like that always come out of the mouth of those that believe we should just write a "blank check" to millions of illegals to let them in, give them free healthcare and food stamps and free education... "Free" of course because we can just write a blank check backed by the hard working public who are already being pushed to the edge... Which is why they voted for "the bad Orange man".

Did you see the newsflash that steel slats can be cut?

Apparently leftists believed we were mining impenetrable 10’ slats of perfectly rectangular steel directly from the earth before this revelation.

I'm wondering how many of those leftists have actually tried to use a saw to cut a rectangular steel piece? It doesn't just cut like butter... Not that they would have learned that with their gender studies degree, or that it got taught in lesbian interpretive dance classes.

If it’s a blank check why are you and Jedi so obsessed with talking about $5billion?

Oops.
Not me bud, last time I mentioned a price it was a realistic 50 billion plus the cost of all that expensive land grabbing needed to build the wall.
Pretty sure it was Jedi who asked you how much wall 5 billion was going to buy.
Now that you know it is a little over 200 miles, why are you still talking about 5 billion?
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

I’ve always known. It’s the low-info voters slowly being fed talking points by their masters that are just now discovering the information.

Pretty sure those that believe their country has the right to decide who comes in or out by building a wall don't care if the wall cost 100 billion.

Precisely.
Americans voted for a wall, not for a lesson on economics from the party of tax-and-spend about how expensive things are.

And you know why they want a wall? Because they see right through your bullshit. Everybody knows you don't give two fucks about poor immigrants making better lives for themselves.

What we really need to properly make traffic flow smoothly is to widen the two lane road (one each way) into an 10-lane road. That's gonna cost $500million though to accomplish and require decades to acquire all the land, etc. But for $50million we can easily and quickly widen it to 4-lanes... It won't solve all the problems, but it'll probably take your average hour+ commute in traffic to 40 minutes, saving fuel, the environment, etc.

Using your logic, that's pointless and they shouldn't even bother unless they can do the whole thing all at once, and doing the whole thing is stupid and an expensive waste of money anyways, so they should just do nothing. Fuck the average commuter who could save 40 minutes a day with the smaller option, besides - you have a private helicopter so why should you care about "those people"?

You said it was a vanity project. Now it's a make-work scheme.

American politicians have no principles. The voters do, which is why we are demanding a wall.
