Walls stop over 90% of crossings where they are employed. This juvenile idea that it's going to impenetrable is the type of stupidity I've come to expect from people who don't understand how depressed wages across the country due to outsourcing of jobs and cheap foreign labor damage all of us.
Tucker explains it pretty well

Reality Check
$11 billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year by state governments.
Illegal households only pay about one-third the amount of federal taxes that non-illegal households pay.
Illegal households create a net fiscal deficit at the federal level of more than $10 billion a year. If given amnesty, this number could grow to more than $29 billion.
$1.9 billion dollars a year is spent on food-assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC and free school lunches for illegal aliens.
$1.6 billion is spent on the federal prison and court system for illegal aliens.
$2.5 billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens.
About 21 percent of the population of U.S. prisons is classified as “noncitizens” from Mexico, Colombia, Cuba and the Dominican Republic. About 5 percent is listed as “unknown.”

Re: The Great Wall of Trump
We give $billions every year to Israel to help them defend their borders, but somehow we can't spend money defending our own?
Weve spent $trillions between Iraq & Afghanistan for over a decade, but $5billion defending our own country?

OK. Let's get this out in the open.
Who here thinks $5 billion will get the wall built?
All of it, along the whole length of the Mexican border.
Who thinks that 5 billion will only be the start and that the government will be back with cap in hand asking for more money from the taxpayer in the future when it runs out?
If you are not sure you can look into previous examples of government building projects as an example.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Trump turns collective-worshipping evangelical commies into fiscal hawks. It's really something to behold.
