Prof CJ at Dangerous History just did a John Carpenter tribute show where he talks extensively about why Big Trouble in Little China is so good. Check it out, 21:30 mark he starts

I watched The Mule last weekend. Pretty good flick. Old Clint Eastwood is best Clint Eastwood.

The Quartet was pretty enjoyable. Not exceptional, but a good time. Features dozens of retired opera singers/classical musicians, Billy Connolly, and Maggie Smith.

Looking forward to El Royale on Netflix. I’ll watch anything with Jeff Bridges in it.GloryofGreece wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 5:36 pmAnyone see and like "Old Man and the Gun" or "Bad Times at the El Royal"?

I found the first twenty minutes of El Royal to be an lesson in cinematic promise that never delivers. Let me know if you all feel differently after seeing it - but I walked away thinking that is was movie by someone who wanted to ape Tarantino, but just doesn’t have the chops.

Watch Becoming James Bond, it's fucking hilarious. It's the life story of George Lazenby. Dude hadn't acted a day in his life before he became Bond. He got the job because he's nothing but a boss Alpha, then he walked away from it turning down all the movies that Roger Moore ended up doing.
