Yeah, pretending that Congress or the American people really care about money is a little disengenous at this point. We have operated this country since 2008 without a budget. The only opposition to spending in recent memory was the Tea Party, they got some folks elected and got coopted by the deep state pretty quickly, then became irrelevant.

Plus, if you think that government contractors can build the whole wall for 5 billion you are an eternal optimist.
