Well, now that the Democrats have some power again, what are their plans for the American people?

Speaker Nancy Pelosi, reclaiming the gavel on Thursday, described her party's majority in the House of Representatives as part of a "new dawn" -- and outlined an agenda that includes expanded gun background checks, protections for some illegal immigrants, and a check on the Trump administration's power.


“Our nation is at an historic moment,” she said moments after being elected. “Two months ago, the American people spoke, and demanded a new dawn.”

Ahhhhhh of course. The priorities will be:
1. Abridge the rights of US citizens
2. Expand protections for non-US citizens
3. Fuck up the president.

I can see why half of America find these heroes so admirable.
Someone needs to knock Americans living in America down a peg or two, right?

AOC is an easy target, she makes herself that way. I have no doubt the establishment is either going to get her in line or get rid of her. I've seen a couple recent articles about how the Dems are working to take out Bernie early and get his Bernie Bros in line.

We wondered for years what happened when people were elected POTUS and suddenly took on the establishment mantle. We're they sat down and shown the confidential JFK film, etc. Lots of good jokes. But it pretty much happens. Except seemingly with Trump, sure he's gone along with a bunch of establishment stuff. But holding out to build a wall is not a Blue Pill move. But he has basically no help.

When she says shit like this, I can't help but shit on her statements.

Sometimes you just know the right course of action by who opposes the action.

The more the Corporate Media and Establishment folks fight against the Wall, the more it makes me be Pro-Wall. My distrust of their propaganda is just that high.

Never get tired of hearing how a wall won’t be 100% effective from idiots who want to ban guns.

Chemotherapy isn’t anywhere near 100% effective against cancer, yet I never see cancer patients deriding it as stupid.

They had brought papers that omitted any specific options for withdrawal timetables. Instead, as the detailed AP account shows, they framed the options as a binary choice—either an immediate pullout or an indefinite presence..........

Mattis and Dunford were consciously exploiting Trump’s defensiveness about a timeline to press ahead with their own strategy unless and until Trump publicly called them on it. That is what finally happened some weeks after Trump’s six month deadline had passed. The claim by Trump advisors that they were taken by surprise was indeed disingenuous. What happened last week was that Trump followed up on the clear policy he had laid down in April.
