Then why did you just post a link about Trump increasing the military budget and use it to claim he wants to be Europe's president?BjornP wrote: ↑Thu Jan 03, 2019 7:38 amYou're forgetting who our obligation is to, I think. It isn't to America. It's to our NATO allies. If you want to spend less, spend fucking less. It's not Europe that bloats your defense spending, it's all your ridiculous wars and operations in Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia.

Let's just say I found it funny that anyone here would think Europe's the reason you're military spending is so high, when it's not Europe you're fighting all your wars and funding your operations in. The link to Trump increasing the military budget was because I found it hilarious in the dual context of him saying he was not president of Europeans AND given what StA claimed about that US military spending would drop if we increased our defense budgets.

Most Americans want to spend more on defense. Our defense. What we are fucking tired of is paying for your defense.

Your defense against who? Worried Mexico will invade and take back Texas?

Oh, who your enemy is, is a secret, I guess. As for our defense, if there is no need for a 2% of GDP defense spending, then our current spending is enough. Of course, I've written before about Danish defense equipment falling apart and jets falling from the sky (ground crew for jets on mission to Syria didn't get enough sleep because Defense Dept. sent too few ground crew, so they couldn't get enough sleep). So yeah, we do need to increase our defense spending. Not neccesarily to 2%, though, and not because of some whiny, deranged American president* thinks we owe him money, or something.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Thu Jan 03, 2019 9:13 amIt is not really any of your fucking business. What actually is your business is your own defense, which you barely pay for. You do not even break 2% on defense spending.
*Though as Fife demonstrates, he can be rather funny, and he is good for America in a democratic sense.
