Liberalism coopted commerce and culture and here we are. It's good to have controlled culutral exchange and it can be good to trade with outsiders but it isn't of itself a good thing really but yes it can be. Liberals want to blow up any and all restraints any and all borders figurtively and literally. They see nothing worth conserving or upholding other than the idea of diversity for diversitys sake. Macau, Vegas, Orlando, and Atlantic City are good examples of late capitalist dream cities. Service jobs, gambling, merchandise, "vacation" spots, whoring and drinking. Lots of money to be lost and made. Cities are usually cesspools of degeneracy and ugliness. But money can be made there so young people flock there. Hard to imagine let alone implement an individual / family solution to these societal issues , but try I will. Even supposing you live in a community you respect and more or less agree with...it will still be very difficult to mitigate all the cultural/economic backwash of the surrounding state/environment.
