Re: BIG Holiday Thread
Last night I was treated to a new whiskey, Forty Creek Copper Pot Reserve Canadian Whiskey

Here's the official description from the website
Deep amber color. Aromas of mocha latte, praline, and toasted meringue with a supple, fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body and a nicely balanced spice, nut, rye toast, and vanilla cream finish with a coppery tang. Very nicely composed and flavorful.
91 points, Beverage Testing Institute (Feb 2014)
It was quite good, the unique thing about this whiskey is that it walks the line between whiskey and scotch quite successfully. Which is rare.
Cheers!

Re: BIG Holiday Thread

Put it together yesterday.
With the counterweight box full of coins and pebbles it was able to throw chocolate truffles about 6'.
Poor design because the winding rope stays connected to the arm when fired and energy is used unwinding the winch.
Just made me want to buy a couple of lengths of inch square oak batton and make a decent one.
...will work on commission.

Is this for defeating a castle of ants? I'd rather just get the catapult version.

No, it's a chocolate delivery device.Speaker to Animals wrote: Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:07 am Is this for defeating a castle of ants? I'd rather just get the catapult version.
I'm not just going to hand them around like some sort of barbarian.
As for catapults, I'm just going to put that down to the protein shakes talking and move on.

The Brits I knew in their military usually celebrate with Chinese takeout and a hooker.C-Mag wrote: Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:41 am Residents of the UK and Commonwealth, how did you celebrate Boxing Day ?
That might also just be a regular day for them too.
