Besides being generally over the top and Kurt Russell , why do most people seem to love Big Trouble in Little China ?

Dialog is good, the story is good, it walks the line of stupid B movie with fun comedy. It's just gold.

In the end, Heros are allowed to be heros, villains are good. Kurt Russell is a total Alpha Male in that flick.

over the top? Once Kim Catrell gets kidnapped it goes and goes and doesn't fucking stop. The pacing even for an action film is frenetic. Its basically a kung fu movie with action turned up and exposition turned way down. It was a video game movie before there were video game movies. If the mortal Kombat movies had that kind of pacing they would be decent movies.

Jack Burton: Henry Swanson's my name, and excitement's my game.

White Tiger: Cash or charge?

Jack Burton: Oh gosh, cash, I guess. I mean it's not deductible, is it.

BEcause it is a great cult film. It is bad in a hilarious way that is extremely endearing, and this is way before the bad films were getting made bad on purpose like those stupid sharknado films. It is a perfect buddy/action movie, and John Carpenter is a good director of movies. Even his bad ones are great. They Live is another example of a bad Carpenter B movie that is also great.

Anyone stoked to see Glass?

M. Night doesn’t have a great track record, but I’ve been waiting for this one since Unbreakable.
