Fife is full of absolute shit.

But like him, I don't have time to get into the details, so just a heads up for y'all.

Could be that crime fell in every zip code surrounding New Jersey as well, and that the bail reform had zero to do with any of it. Of course, determining that takes work and robs lazy people of easy (but severely flawed) political gotcha points.

Poor show.
Ah, so the whole fact that NJ mostly eliminated cash bail and the world didn't end can be dismissed, eh? Talk about grooming your data.

I, for one, would always reject any data set based solely on New Jersey.

New Jersey is not a real state. Anybody who elects Space Balls parodies to run their state and legislature is not a legit state.

New Jersey is basically Denmark.

This just in - New Jersey banned bail, and global temperatures rose 1.44°F in 2018.
Clearly lack of bail causes global warming, because both things happened.

Pffffffft

I am curious about the rate of people skipping trial before and after.

You guys are a riot.
"Lets test the idea of getting rid of bail"

That, broken down by offence.
If overall trail attendance stayed the same or improved, that's awesome.
Less awesome if the improvement comes from 30% more people with misdemeanors showing up vs 100% less murderers showing up.

The study might have good info, but as a sensationalist talking point for low-info voters it sucks. It's like saying gun crimes are down and Trump is talking about banning bump stocks again, therefore fewer gun homicides leads to stricter gun control. I'm surprised grown-ups still cite articles that claim the existence of two independent facts is evidence of causation. Then again, I see what colleges are producing today and I guess I'm not that surprised.

I see brewster is still defending his citation. The citation that points out it's full of shit in the body of it own text.
Hahahah, wow.
Leftists.
