History on Fire - Joan of Arc
This is a fantastic four part series.

Illiterate 17 year old peasant girl with hallucinations and no prior traiing takes leadership of French Army and defeats English in series of battles turning the tide of history in the 100 years war.
History is certainly stranger than fiction.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Please stop reading other people's threads. That content in there was not yours to read, and you had no right to snoop through it the way you did...
I'm too angry at you to even speak right now.

What have you been up to lately? You said months earlier on the forum you had some family problems. I hope they got resolved and you all are ok.DrYouth wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 1:21 pmGlad to see you're still doing your shtick around here...heydaralon wrote: ↑Mon Dec 17, 2018 5:14 pmPlease stop reading other people's threads. Geez, I mention a few family problems and everyone thinks I was kidnapped and held in a cabin somewhere.heydaralon wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 1:24 pmWhat have you been up to lately? You said months earlier on the forum you had some family problems. I hope they got resolved and you all are ok.
I mostly got distracted by some video games... replaying Civ 5 and Total War Rome...
I only have so much screen time in a day... given the day job and family problems... I mean family.
The family is actually doing very well thank you very much.
We stopped couples therapy mercifully... man was that agonizing.
It was helpful... but I think we got all the help we could stand.
Now if only we can help our 16 year old to get through high school... he really hates school right now... hang in there buddy... life will surely improve once the jail doors are unlocked...

Good to hear that things are ok on your end.
I never played Civ 5. I've heard those games are pretty fun. I used to play Rise of Nations and Age of Empires. I ended up buying that Ken Wilbur book you recommended awhile back. It is not a thick book, but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet.

Huge time waster by the end of it... but, you know, you want to see it through...
