It's not like it used to be, though. Elderly have to move out of Chicago, for instance, more often than not these days because they cannot afford the property taxes on their homes due to falling social security income in real terms.

There are elderly who like the urban life quite a lot. I don't think it fair to say that people who live there want to get away first chance they get. There are benefits to the city, especially for the elderly. It's just that the costs are starting to add up pretty badly in recent years.
I would say a lot depends on wealth, especially whether you owned property for the last 20 years. In my city there are elders sitting in $2m townhouses complaining they can't pay their 1.6% taxes without tapping their equity. Boohoo. They can pay their taxes and live quite well on that till they croak. Some of the retirees I know sold their suburban house and are now renting in the city, since the numbers favor renting in this market.
Always anecdotal bullshit with this guy. Ask for any real numbers and he got nothing.

That is their home. Property taxes like that are evil as fuck.
That's actually low for NJ. There's people here paying $40k/yr and more on their McMansions. Different states raise money differently, but get it they must to school kids, pay cops, and pave roads. Jersey's state-local load is only 2.4 point higher than NC, 12.2% vs 9.8%. Https://taxfoundation.org/publications/ ... -rankings/

What's evil as fuck is how many states tax the poor at a much higher rate than the rich. Property tax is the closest thing practical to a wealth tax, the fairest of them all.

Well, now you're conflating wanting some restrictions on gun ownership with banning guns.
Not very honest and a terrible starting point for any debate.
/shrug
And your starting off with a narrative of there being no restrictions already and act as if you personally dont prefer your country's policy, which is a ban, when we all know you do.

Not honest and terrible starting point for any debate.

What can you expect from someone who is actively against America and the West, and who hates religious freedom?

How about some real numbers for that?

I am just worried about who has to clean up the city-ruins when this goes John Titor.

And don't get me started on this piece of shit. He was making fun of Stan Lee the same day he died. That's just downright assholish. What if his wife or kids went onto this forum and saw your posts? How do you think they would feel about that?

Stan Lee did not allow his kids to read comic books, so they never really became fans. He said they will rot your brain.

Since red-America is sliding towards cult-of-personality national socialism, you are going to need the jobs program... so I would look at that as a feature, not a bug. ;)
