I love the brevity of your succinct demolition of a specious argument.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Just as the purchase of endless waves of disposable trinkets has been a boon to resource extraction specialists the world over.
SJWs are a natural consequence of corporatism.

I went down to visit my daughter at her college the other day. We spent a couple of hours at the fantastic library on campus; her studying for finals, me geeking out digging up some prizes from the stacks.

I'm sad now that I participated in a tree and resource killing ritual. In 2018, all that paper is a stupendous waste.

We need experts to make decisions for us on what books are essential, along with all the Christian/pagan greeting cards and precious USPS resources; not to mention all the buggy whip and trinket waste.

I love your collective retreat to a dogmatic circle jerk when confronted with aspects of an issue your talking points simply cannot address.

My dislike of Christmas (just like others love for it) has nothing to do with Christ.

How many lorries does it take to deliver 1 billion Christmas cards to shops and then send them by the post office to their intended recipients?
Never mind how many trees have to be cut down.

I have had a no Christmas card policy for over 25 years now and am still awaiting the year when I receive zero cards.
Don't get me started on wrapping paper...

I love spending time with my family and eating good food but hate the waste and pollution generated.
You complain about trees being cut down. From what I have gathered here, you are a fan of building trebuchets. Those are usually built from wood, correct? What is the essential need for these today? You are a hypocrite to bitch about Christmas trees while building trebuchets for fun.

Hardly anyone sends plain greeting cards anymore. Most of what we get are the family photo cards, which we appreciate. Sure, you could send an email with image attachments, but the photo cards we keep for eternity ( ;) ) and like to display during the holiday season.

But we're just a bunch of wasteful haters to some. Oh well.

Emails require electricity which is largely generated by the burning of fossil fuels.

Fuck the losers who are destroying our planet by sending worthless holiday wishes to others over email.

You’ll never catch enlightened people wasting our dwindling resources on petty things like electronic communication.

... oh, wait ...

My trebuchets are built from recycled timber and are dismantled and re-used every time but well done for equating an exercise in experimental archaeology with a gratuitous use of resources in an unnecessary show of institutionalised good cheer.

My computer and phone are 100% charged by solar panels on the roof of my low impact truck home but do carry on with your Christmas lecture...
