On time for this thread:

Worth reading the entire thing. She is on spot.
I think women like Milspecs really need to stop this bullshit gamesmanship, just stop in their tracks for once in their lives and seriously consider a simple question: regardless of what you think about the legitimacy of feminism, what exactly are we supposed to do as a society if the majority of women would not only be happier living traditional roles as mothers in the home, but are absolutely miserable with the lives feminism has foisted upon them?
Let's just assume somehow, intellectually, feminism is justifiable (laughable assertion, but just for the sake of argument..), but at the same time it is making women absolutely miserable and slowly destroying our civilization with non-replacement fertility rates and destroyed families (that part is factual). At what point does your ideology have to be held accountable to it's social and personal effects?
I really don't see how these people can maintain their cognitive dissonance much longer. Feminism is a disaster for western civilization. All the injustice inherent in it, the female chauvinism, the hatred, etc., does not even approach the damage done in terms of the human family and the perpetuity of our societies. We can argue nonstop about the fact that feminism is actually a hate movement, but you really cannot dispute basic facts like declining fertility rates and their effects on our society and economies, or the steady decline in female happiness. The more we adopt feminism as a social and legal policy, the more miserable women become, and the closer to demographic oblivion western civilization advances. At some point, women have to be honest about this.

Women should be able to take 100 days off a year, work 5 hours per day, and still get paid as much as men... it's feminist equality.C-Mag wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 6:02 pmNumbers rarely shared in this argument
It has been nearly four decades since the Supreme Court ruled that spousal support must be applied equally to men and women, but courts still award it to women far more often than men...………..Three percent of men in divorce cases receive spousal support, 95% of women receive support.

Women are almost 50 per cent more likely to take sick days than men, official figures have revealed for the first time. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/health ... n-men.html
The Department of Labor’s Time Use Survey, for example, finds that the average full-time working man spends 8.14 hours a day on the job, compared to 7.75 hours for the full-time working woman.

Yeah, it’s 2 wash cycles for cloth diapers...Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 6:42 amlaundry becomes a nightmare, I am sure. It's not like you can realistically stockpile shitty cloth diapers to justify a single load of them. Nor would you want to wash them with your clothing. Personally, I would want to run a cleaning cycle after doing a load of them.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 9:21 pmNo doubt, but I've never heard a 'good' story about them. The solution here is free diapers no exceptions without apology.
but let’s not pretend you don’t have to deal with shit on disposables...
But if you poor, it saves a shit ton, plus you don’t give you baby rashes, or constantly applying ointment to prevent them.

I agree it must be more economical. As far as dealing with shit in disposable diapers, the diaper cans are designed so that you really do not have to face the smell of them until you open it up to take the poop bag out to the curb. It's not really that bad.nmoore63 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 8:38 amYeah, it’s 2 wash cycles for cloth diapers...Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 6:42 amlaundry becomes a nightmare, I am sure. You do not begin to be the person who could answer what makes women happy. You can’t even accept when women clearly tell you what makes them happy. You are behaving like a person who insists that someone else likes chocolate when she is telling you that she doesn’t.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 7:10 am

Because you want someone to give up her life to make you happy doesn’t mean she is obligated to do so. The person who does that is usually called Mommy, and grown men don’t want to be married to their mommies.

I can easily show you that the more we carry out feminist policies, the more miserable women become.
Also, you are being exceedingly dishonest yet again. You strategically cut out the link to the essay -- written by a woman -- and then quoted my rephrasing of what she wrote as if I had stated her opinion instead of her, only to then claim I have no right to opine upon what makes women happy.
You have proven yourself utterly contemptible and dishonest.

So this has turned into a more interesting conversation...
When people breathe into it and don't freak out.
My wife decided to give up her career... a career that she had invested in heavily.
It was a hard decision and there was little support for it in our society.
Staying home with the kids is tough... in our circles not many women made that choice...
My wife ended up struggling with depression and alienation in the post partum...
I'm not sure it would have been easier if she stayed at work... but she might have felt less alienated.
I was overwhelmed with my career and probably the poorly considered choice of moving far away from my home community which combined with a depressed wife left me overwhelmed - then I made personal choices that led me into the abyss... personal choices I do not defend.
As a result our marriage nearly cracked into a million pieces... but we have fought hard to keep it together and have succeeded.
We have to fight against the currents of a society that pull us apart in order to stay together.
In the end I think my wife staying home with the kids was a net plus for our family...
But it was no single handed remedy to the challenges our modern society. Society would have to change for this to be an easier choice to make.

It becomes infinitely less interesting every time milspecs comes in here to lie and distort rather than debate honestly.

If the couple is trying to have a family then I believe having a parent at home is best overall. But even better than that is both parents being home most of the time. Working and living at home. How one actually accomplishes that is up for debate. Its difficult but not impossible. And then there are all types of various compromises you can make with "working" outside of your home to make money. If your raising kids then spending time with them and controlling their environment and competencies will be of utmost importance. You can do that at home. This society is corrosive and homeschooling is not a taboo or no no in my book.

What is a forum if everyone agrees? A circle jerk.
