It is also why the public should get a say in the final deal.
Before the referendum no-one had any idea what the deal would look like.
Think of it as buying a house without ever seeing it first. That is really not sound fiscal policy.
You don't sit there and haggle, paying off your lawyers forever, you just do it. Get it over with, or it will only get worse.
