There’s been massive confusion between “free trade” and “globalism”.

One involves the flow of goods between nations without tariffs or restrictions, and the other involves imposing global rules and standards.

Free trade is absolutely necessary to the modern economy. Globalism is not.

This confusion is intentional, and promoted by globalists. They use it to obfuscate their true aims.

I think you’ll find that 90% of us are opposed to globalism, but not free trade, once we’re aware of the distinction.

He's been in this thread since the start, absolutely butt pained about the riots. He was absolutely butt pained about Brexit and hardly a day goes by he doesnt say something like, "see, I told you so." When he's not championing his hash that he buys from some stranger to his people he is celebrating the diverse cuisine. He is nothing if not lock stock and barrel an open border advocate and will always be. I've been to the part of Morroco that produces the hash I buy and stayed for a week with the lovely people there. I was treated like an honoured guest in their house, fed so often I had trouble keeping up with all the food and was expected to give nothing in return.
I'm a chef, of course I find food from other countries interesting.
I don't believe in open borders but I do accept legal immigration is necessary both for our economy and also to help in understanding foreign cultures, I do not fear the unfamiliar or those not like me.
I don't think I have lived a sheltered life. I've travelled a lot, seen many different cultures and mixed with people from all levels of my own society and others.
I've spent extended periods in Muslim countries and know for a fact they are not all terrorists and rapists as they are portrayed by ignorant and scared people who have never spent time with them.

First of all stop reddit spacing. "Free trade" is an Orwellian political slogan purposely chosen to hide the truth behind the opposite of what it really is. What is called free trade is neither free nor trade.

Whenever it is put to a vote, people of most western nations vote FUCK NO to offshoring their jobs and the national security of their countries as well. That's not free. We are not free to opt out of this suicidal ideology, and when we attempt to, the globalists subvert the democratic process to preserve it.

It is not trade when an American company offshores a factory from America to China, produces goods in China, and then reimports them to the United States to sell in our markets. If Ford moves a truck factory from Michigan to Indiana, is that trade? No. If they then move it to Ohio, does it become trade because it now crossed two state borders? No. Why would it become trade just because they moved over the US border instead of a state border? It's not trade.

As you say then. Nothing is happening when demographics take a sharp nose dive. Nothing is happening when quality of life goes with it. Perhaps this is correct. If that's the case then the open border folks would be wise to shut the fuck up instead of threatening my race with violence. Yep. Free Trade is almost as sickening as diversity in its Orwellian connotations. We are among the stupidest people on Earth for being on board with this and ruining our awesome society. We burned the candle at both ends. Made our jobs less and shitty and simultaneously importing in a bunch of immigrants and H1B opportunists to utterly hollow out our labor market.
