If you want to be really accurate you’ll have to include a few hundred homeless and about the same number of Indian/Pakistanis (not homeless) in your mental picture.

Just typing that last sentence reminds me of how far the left has fallen. Thousands of people come to this city from backward ass Pakistan every year, find jobs, and move into homes. Yet white liberals by the hundreds of thousands can’t manage to keep up. What can you even say about that?

It would be very interesting to see how much of the proposed half bil actually got to the homeless in any meaningful way. I suspect a lot of govt employees, especially those monitoring the initiative would get salary bumps, and the level of fraud would be astronomical on both sides. Many people who are not homeless probably would attempt to get services and products from the govt workers too.

It would be very similar to that Tom Wolfe Mau Mauing the Flak Catchers book.
