They got soldiers in the streets: Antifa. The only thing preventing a complete forced takeover is that they are afraid of resistance. Not only should we talk about the correlation between Marxism and Gun Control, but IMO, more specifically how they go about getting control of weapons and why. Why must be understood first. Marxists always work to get Gun Control as a means to monopolize the use of force.

The Bolsheveiks negotiated to get the Imperial Army to sit on the sidelines, promising them they would be treated well. Then they created their own militia that combined elements of both the Army and Police, a year later they confiscated weapons from the military, then ordered all weapons turned in.

Other tactics of Collectivists are to chip away at rights, identify, isolate and disarm key groups, them move on to other groups. This appears to be the chosen method to disarm the USA.
