Trump's wrong on taxes, but he understands economics well enough to know that deficits don't matter, and he's as supportive of the aristocracy as any rich man; but his Nationalism will help primarily the Americans that need it most. At the very bottom, he's discouraging Illegal Immigration so that wages rise, promoting a work ethic vs. a Welfare ethic, and bullies companies to think about Americans first before profits. The Collapse will happen on his watch, and rather than run to socialism, he'll let the impossible retirement funds collapse.
We'll see how it goes. Last I heard, most economists agree that if we were able to kick out every illegal alien today, our economy would collapse. Maybe the thinking on that has changed, though.

I agree with him on immigration, except the "great big beautiful wall," part.... It may be big, but it won't be beautiful. I think it's going to be nothing more than an expensive monstrosity. Most illegals are here on overstayed visas. That's where the primary focus should be. Add drone surveillance and a bunch more border guards. Use the wall money that way, instead.

We don't need a wall to put the construction people to work. He talked a good game about infrastructure during the campaign, let's put them to work on that.

There's 12 million Illegals that ADMIT to being illegal (probably the number is closer to 25 million). That's definitely NOT overstayed visas.

Anybody who says the economy will collapse without extortative labor practices is not someone you want to listen to.

Most of them are *not* here on overstayed visas. I have no idea where that lie began, but it's pervasive and pernicious. There are tens of millions of people who illegally invaded our nation, are stealing from American tax payers, and glutting the jobs markets. They bring crime and all sorts of problems here too. They are not in any way a boon to our nation.

Rounding up the democratic party's illegal voters (and the chamber of commerce wing of the GOP's illegal labor force) would do more for the average worker than anything else right now. Get rid of them. These people need to go home. Load up the trains and send them back to Mexico and Central America. Buh bye.

Dude - they're not just potential voters - they're the rank and file of the left's army. They're not going anywhere just yet.

Think you can fend off 500 armed Mayans charging your house?

LOL

If this keeps up on the trajectory it is on now, they are getting trucked out of here in a mass roundup within ten years. Bet that. Invest in railroad stocks.

Mexico will help us too. They have the same problem with Central Americans.

At some point, the world will have to deal with the mass migration of peoples by removing them back to their own countries, or civilization collapses. This doesn't work.

How well did that work for Rome?

Do we have to continue to follow their example? Or can we not just start rounding people up who are not supposed to be here, ship them back to their own countries, and start making life untenable for those who slid through the corrupted immigration system?

It's as easy as not extending welfare to naturalized citizens. Make it clear they have no future in this country as welfare recipients. No anchor babies. No gibs. In fact, if a naturalized citizen or visa holder requires government assistance to live, then we need to ship them back home per immigration law anyway. You are only allowed to immigrate here if you can support yourself.

Citizenship should flow from the father. That is the basis upon which the Constitution was written (coverture). We might have changed coverture laws, but that doesn't change the Constitution.

That's a pretty grim view, considering how poorly the blue team did during the election.

Simple math and demographics - the fact that the GOP lost with a decent economy is telling...it means they can't win anymore.
