Re: Collectivism Poll
It's funny how some things never change. Certain people will always view kiting checks as 'freedom'. There would be no revolution without the borrowed money, and there would be no country if our credit and currency was shit, so Hamilton was trying make the new Federal govt solvent with the only means at his disposal, tariffs and excise taxes. Good credit was always the British secret weapon. Your hero Jeff was a hypocrite who borrowed up to his ears but hated bankers.

Aunt Suzie babysits your kid. She's part of "the village." Years later, Aunt gets arrested and goes to prison for stealing a car. Everyone's village has some sort of idiot.
Why are all the Gods such vicious cunts? Where's the God of tits and wine?

I created a new species in Stellaris that's lots of fun. They are a collectivist hive mind species that has to eat. Basically, we just eat all the other races unless they can exterminate us, spreading across the galaxy like democrats.

Given the topic was the Federalist era, obviously Jeff is Thomas Jefferson, the preferred founding father of the many MHF members who despise Hamilton. Why do people who hate debt borrow anyway and then hate on their lenders to justify walking away from their debts? What's so noble and self reliant about being a deadbeat?Fife wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 12:20 pmWho is Jeff and who are you talking to about heroes?brewster wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 12:09 pmIt's funny how some things never change. Jefferson just happened to be less wrong than Hamilton. Not a huge fan of either of them.

I agree, but in past discussions members defended TJ as having the right Anti-Federalist ideas for the states, in opposition to AH.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 5:35 pmWhat makes you think we like him either? Dude saw the French revolution and liked what he saw.
