Meh - it doesn't matter which party has complete power. It happens, and when it does, corruption doesn't get fixed, nor do any of the real issues that this country faces get fixed. I don't care about cakes or bathrooms or even health care.Speaker to Animals wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 2:42 pmYou are being intellectually lazy.
All you want to do is sit there and put on the facade that you are somehow above everything else. It's like intellectual masturbation. But, in reality, the only way to actually fix a God damned thing is to win political power. In this system, there are only two viable political parties to do that. Literally any solution you can conceive of implies controlling the government which in turn implies taking control of one of the parties.
However even a majority of politicians in that party behave is irrelevant to this simple fact. To sit there and pretend like you are above it all is to lose, and to lose lazily and pathetically.
My concerns are all about spending, spying, accountability, size of government, etc. Neither party has any interest in reigning any of that in. There's only one group of people who even pretend to care about reigning in spending, and that is the R team when they are out of power. Once in power, they spend like drunken sailors.
I pretend nothing. I have my beliefs. It doesn't make me better or worse. We just have different opinions on this. Geez....
