It's a giant pain in the arse but I understand the reasons and am happy to know that all other food outlets have to comply. Sometimes I'm a customer myself.
There is not nearly the outcry concerning food regulations on for profit businesses

As it happens all 3 members of the family here at the farm have gone down with food poisoning from an unregulated BBQ at a remembrance day service on Sunday.
One wonders how the modern English even muster the courage to go out their door in the morning....

If that permit ensures good practice then it will reduce the risk of E-coli and other food born pathogens.

Without regulations on food handling there will be more poisoning.
Without the government who will save us from the charity bake sales?????
Very different level of risk between freshly baked cakes and raw meat. Especially meat past its use by date and in a dumpster.
You are a fucking idiot. How about a little research. The biggest and most notable outbreaks of these diseases in the US most recently isnt of raw meat or rather meat undercooked it is from raw produce. Tomatoes and Spinach outbreaks were national. The one example of meat we have in this case is chili. You call yourself a cook, you know how to make chili? You have to season and brown the meat first on it's own then you mix it with the other ingredients before throwing into the pot to cook further. That meat is throughly cooked I would bet my life that of anything had e coli survive that it was the other ingredients not the meat. You are such a sweet bitch for the state.

You would be betting your life. Slow cooking is the worst thing you could do to e coli contaminated food. It just makes them more resistant to heat. You actually encourage the little bastards to get stronger. And you just about can't freeze the fuckers to death either. Nasty, nasty little bugs.

But the premise of the thread is correct - you'd have far less chance of of getting ill at the homeless giveaway that you would in your own home. Organised cooking tends to be a lot safer than than a domestic kitchen where a quick rinse of the cutting board under warm water after chopping up the chicken but before dicing the tomatoes can often be the norm.

So I just woke up and then remembered there are people who defend the state pouring bleach all over food meant for the homeless because they weren't paid their protection racket money. Wow.

Sure, but not with S. Tyler. That motherfucker is hyper-rich, a rock fraud, and probably an AIDS super-carrier.

You are the state. This is a Republic.

If you don't like what is going on here, change the law.
