I admire your faith in the system. However, I suspect that you haven't met many millionaires... Not an insult, just an observation.

I would characterize the type of people being discussed as 8-9 figure millionaires... Many people who successfully save for retirement are millionaires, in the literal sense.

His rhetoric is grade-school level, he's clearly unaware of global politics, and publicly responds to every internet/Twitter provocation. These are the actions of an imbecile, not a genius.

I agree that I don't like everything I see from him, but I also leave room to accept that it worked, and that he might know that.

He's a politician now, and his performance in this field, that he wasn't experienced in, shows that he might be smart enough to do it well. I leave open the possibility that he was smart enough to figure out how to behave to win.

Simply put, politics is an act, and he did well. Maybe he was able to be real and win, or maybe he was smart enough to play the part and win.

If he thought surrounding himself with a bunch of intellectuals and having the briefings in hand was what was going to close the deal, that's what he would do, but since the opposite was what was going to close the deal, he went that way instead.

The ability to acquire large amounts of capital and keep it most certainly is correlated to higher IQ. It's always been that way. The people who tend to accumulate the most resources amongst their peers in a stable economic system tend to have higher than average IQs.

Not all high-IQ individuals build large amounts of wealth and success, but most of the individuals who do build large amounts of wealth and success are high IQ. That kind of high-stakes business is an intellectual contest.

It's possible to be a big dummy and inherit a lot of wealth (i.e George W. Bush), but the ability to generate new wealth consistently is tied to IQ. This has been the case for as long as civilization has been around.
