Florida is looking good for Republicans. The races for Senate and governor are very close, but the GOP leads in both. Republican Gov. Rick Scott leads Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson by 0.8 points, and Republican Ron DeSantis leads Democrat Andrew Gillum by 1.0 points. Both of those leads are outside the 0.5-point margin required for an automatic recount.

So if D's get the House and R's get the Senate, does that mean Republicans shape the Judiciary while the House whines about impeachment and doing nothing for the next 2 years?
Don't forget the part where we get to listen to screechy old grandma.... /sigh

I thought you'd enjoy this, because, true story.

Fun fact: Nerd voted for "Immigrant Caravan," for FL senate race. Glad Nelson lost; a box of rocks could be more effective. Still hate Scott, though.

Yeah I'm a bit surprised on the Amendment results. I vote yes on some but not all. I thought some may have passed, but all of them? Ugh. That was a truly shitshow way of cramming the ballot with miscellaneous shit in each amendment. I have to laugh though that many Democrats in social media think that now we have given voting rights back to felons that they will all vote Democrat.

Democrats are really going to hate it here now because DeSantis gets 3 FL Supreme Court judges to pick and there is some redistricting to be done.

Election shows its just a matter of time before the GOP can't win anymore due to demographics.....Minorities simply favor collectivism vs individualism....DNC house means no border wall and continued blood supply to DNC voting plantation....it's fucking game over...sure FL is safe this go-around....but what about the next time? and the time after that? Minorities simply do not believe in liberty...at least not in the same way most of us on here do....so what's next?

What do you think will happen when the DNC has control of the house, senate and POTUS?

There is no reasons the GOP should have lost the house given the state of the economy.....it really comes down to a rejection of individualism.....

I voted yes on four of them. I'm also shocked they all passed. Some of them were so convoluted I voted no out of disgust. Can't even find a distantly remote correlation between vaping and off-shore drilling, and that was the best of the bundled choices.

I'm disappointed by the gambling one, because it was funded by Disney & The Seminoles, so, clearly a loss for the proles. Well produced campaign, though.

I don't think the results show that at all. The House is fickle by design. It'll flip back soon enough.

I noticed 538 really is pushing the urban vs rural divide. anyone else finds it amusing that the farther away you get from the large mega cities (in the US at least) that the idea of personal freedom an government noninterference grows? I find it bizarre that for all the talk Democrats do about slavery, racism, and control that their sole focus is to get everyone on the government ticket as much as possible ? Modern-day folks willingly signing up to become slaves to the government. Never in my lifetime would I imagine I'd see a nation of people born into freedom and liberty so desperately seeking to be controlled by the elite few in DC. Just bizarro times these days.
