Should I have a problem with Trump getting royalties from MAGA Hats? I don't feel like I should.
Not unless you have a problem with this being the new normal for the rest of your lifetime.
Marketing teams are going to design and sell millions of ‘whatevers’ for each campaign from now on. You’ll be blasted with a new one every 4 years, and they’ll break campaign finance laws forever.
Now, it’s going to be all about a catchy slogan and “image”, rather than even a vague semblance of “the issues”. It’s end-stage capitalism at its finest.
Prepare for maximum reality tv marketing, from here until The Collapse.

His entire legacy, and the moral legitimacy of his presidency's radical agenda, face utter rejection by the American people.
You have to realize that progressivism is their alternative to Christianity, and constitutes a kind of religion in and of itself. That religion has a strong historicist component in which they truly believe in a progressive arc of history in which society evolves towards a secular utopia. For their ideology to be flatly rejected and unwound is tantamount to it being rejected by history. That would be like somebody finding the irrefutable dead body of Jesus for Christians.
They definitely will get violent if they do not get their way. My guess is that, psychologically, instead of admitting their religion is false, they will assume the only reason their utopia is unrealized and rejected is through theft or some other form of chicanery. They will assume the only way the arc of history could possibly be foiled is by cheating it. That assumption will lead to much increased hostilities because we really are dealing with a kind of religious war at the ideological level.
At the biological level, I also believe we are in part dealing with a genetic distinction in which a new race is beginning to emerge, with completely different predispositions for social and political organization.
This conflict is much deeper than many of you realize. It is not merely a battle of opinions.
What will be those predispositions likely be in your view?

Didn't Obama's cabinet consist of ex Goldman Sach's diversity hires? Was marketing involved in making this cast of characters palatable to the public?

Yeah, I can see how the president selling hats will lead to The Collapse. Seems legit.

Yeah the fact that the Clinton's are worth hundreds of millions of dollars shows that Trump is the first president to theoretically monetize their office and he is setting a dangerous trend with the baseball caps. If we start seeing maga fedoras or t-shirts this will be uncharted territory and potentially the end of civilization. In fact, this is further evidence of how he subverted the election. I don't think Hillary even thought about using t-shirts, bumper stickers, or any kind of merch to advertise her campaign. Think about it. Do a google search. Try to find any I'm with her shirts or bumper stickers. You won't. I'm getting a bit alarmed now. Why didn't Hillary make any merch? What's going on? Obama didn't either now that I think of it!

Hope and Change was a deep slogan that actually made a difference. It hopefully changed spying laws by expanding their scope and abuse while managing to keep everything the same, and made an awesome insurance company giveaway that tripled my premiums. MAGA is quite vapid compared to the depth and sophistication of this slogan which makes Kant's Critique of Pure Reason look like a beach read.

It's not like I'm forced to buy a MAGA Hat.
But it would be a lot cheaper than being forced to buy Health Care.

She didn't have to. There were quite a few of them made by other places not associated directly with her campaign. When 90% of the media is on your side it's probably not so important. When you are in a primary with only one other serious opponent (that you've rigged the system against) it's not as important to gin up support as it is when you're one of a dozen on that debate stage.

You photoshopped those. Nice try. I never saw a single hillary bumpsticker or shirt during the election, and I'm not alone in that. Remove the watermark when you are trying to bamboozle people on the internet.
