Obama had already been the most outspoken former POTUS in modern times, now he's just tossed all tradition out the window in this regard. IMO, this isn't good for the Dems, I see the Trump Revolution as a reaction to 8 years of Obama policy in the Whitehouse. Plus it brings further scrutiny that frankly Obama doesn't need.

Just remember the track record when Obama cant help but speak out even when he isnt on the ballot. Him, Hillary Clinton, and Nancy Pelosi have got to campaign all over the country for that blue wave.

You have to realize that progressivism is their alternative to Christianity, and constitutes a kind of religion in and of itself. That religion has a strong historicist component in which they truly believe in a progressive arc of history in which society evolves towards a secular utopia. For their ideology to be flatly rejected and unwound is tantamount to it being rejected by history. That would be like somebody finding the irrefutable dead body of Jesus for Christians.

They definitely will get violent if they do not get their way. My guess is that, psychologically, instead of admitting their religion is false, they will assume the only reason their utopia is unrealized and rejected is through theft or some other form of chicanery. They will assume the only way the arc of history could possibly be foiled is by cheating it. That assumption will lead to much increased hostilities because we really are dealing with a kind of religious war at the ideological level. At the biological level, I also believe we are in part dealing with a genetic distinction in which a new race is beginning to emerge, with completely different predispositions for social and political organization.

This conflict is much deeper than many of you realize. It is not merely a battle of opinions.

The Left is filled with cult like imagery and practices. I'd say it mimicks religion like a cult does. Like all Collectivist movements they are very good with their imagery, whether it's Che, Lenin or Dear Leader.

I've claimed for years that Global Warming and Universities are treated as religions, but I refining that, it's more cult like. The University worshippers have the Main Hall as their temple, stadiums as their circus, they wear the symbols of their cult on their clothes, put it on their vehicles, in their homes, and tithe the cult for life.

There's a big difference. MAGA hats are political pins of the modern era. Che shirts are a prime example, watch people argue over what university they went to or which sports ball team will win, how the Global Warming crowd attacks skeptics as Climate deniers.

I will say that there is a Cult like following of the American flag and many of the Flag Cultists do it, while violating Flag protocol. This guy probably has good intentions, but the flag is not to be worn as clothing
